About

Currently a first-year PhD student at University of California, Merced, advised by Drs. Jennifer Howell and Deborah Wiebe, my research looks at the burden of the medical system and evaluating personalized health information in individuals with marginalized identities, particularly in the role of social identity in medical mistrust. My goal is to understand how these individuals differentially approach their health due to anticipated stressors and potential perceptions of the medical field more broadly.

Side interests include group identification within disabled and/or queer communities and the interactions with social identity and agency in health, as well as misinformation and it's effects on the broader understanding of chronic illness and disability within society.
